Swaddled in his dashing wartime pigeon vest, Pericles the Duck is the mainstay of LBC 97.3's lunchtime program. Admittedly he is quite taciturn for a talk show host, preferring to delegate that work to his stalwart deputy Sandi Toksvig and even allows the show to be named after her. However we all know who really wears the waistcoat.

On Wednesday July 21st 2004, fans of Perry was given the unique opportunity to meet their idol during an outside broadcast from the London Wetlands centre.  You can see some photos of this event here.

However, during the program Perry was introduced to a top gourmet and cook who will remain anonymous. Obviously under the influence of the duck terrine she had just sampled, she subsequently claimed that Perry was in fact a Goose and NOT a Duck.

Perry was visibly distressed at having his genus called into question. Life as a presenter at LBC 97.3 is hard enough but to be accused of being a trans-species creature must be unbearable.  This fan site is therefore intended to support Perry though this painful and scandalous period in his life and reassure him that we love him no matter what he might be.

However, we're pretty sure he is a DUCK - and we have duckmentary evidence.
